Lilac Hill Duplex – Historic
Residential · Park City, Utah
The name of this residential architecture and historic preservation project recalls the large lilac bush that historically adorned the hillside. Years of neglect on the historic house culminated in a house fire, started by squatters that led to the structure being condemned. The resurrection of the historic house added a second living unit and brought the structure back to life, celebrating its renewal by meticulously following documentation of the historic house and separating any additions visually with breaks in the facade and overall treatment. This new history of the historic site has started and should age gracefully into the future.
